Yam-cha



Introducing you to another popular lunch in Australia!

Yam- cha in Cantonese means ”drinking tea” , people usually got mistaken that Yam- cha mean the whole meal but it is and where as Dim sum is the food. Some Aussies may call Dim sum to replace the word of Yam-cha.
Chinese YUM-CHA is one of the most popular places for lunch in Australia. YUM-CHA was first found in the Southern China which involves tea drinking and eating Dim sum plates.
Dim sum is been carried with push trolleys, Dim sim trolleys will be pushed around the restaurant and serve the food(Dim sim) to the customers.
Dim sum dishes may include fried rice, steam buns, dumplings, deserts, vegetables, congee and soups. Typical Dim sum you should try! 1. Steam buns(char siu baau, ji bao) 2. Steam dumplings( sui mai, xia jiao) 3. Deserts (egg tarts, mango pudding). The above listed are the most popular food been ordered in Yum-cha and must try!!!.
