It's that time of year again. The decorations are up, the Christmas tree is standing and presents are cropping up around it. Which also means its soon time for the usually massive festive dinner.
When we think of Christmas dinner what comes to your mind? Turkey? Roast Lamb or Pork? Mash? These are all very common on the dinner table and while they are all fantastic it can get a little dreary. There are no foods which stand out and offer up some very different tastes. Today I would like to offer you some options to mix it up a bit. Just be cause it is a Christmas dinner doesn't mean you have to stick to traditional foods. One person in my family doesn't even like turkey so over the years we have grown to include other foods so that everyone can enjoy the meal. Our favourite addition by far is stir fried rice using a variety of different sauces ranging from Portuguese to Extra Hot Peri Peri or Mexican.
This is but one suggestion there are many more things you can add to your dinner to make it that little bit more interesting and, as ever, you can top it off with a delicious dessert.
